Knit From Your Stash 2007 Hey, folks! Wendy has just thought up a TERRIFIC knit-along! Knit From Your Stash 2007 (heretofore known as, KFYS07). There are some rules to follow. We hate rules but, trust me, it’s all for a good cause (read: your POCKET!). Plus, as one of the commenters on her blog said, “I think the idea of knitting from the stash is good, if only to rediscover all the nifty yarn I’ve got lurking in the underbrush.”
My version of the rules basically just incorporates my Yarn Diet. The only thing is that as treats after every 5 major projects, I can only get sock yarn now. Works for me!

Funnies
A little old lady is walking down the street dragging two plastic garbage bags with her, one in each hand. In one bag there's a hole from which $20 bills occasionally fly out onto the pavement.
Taking note of this situation, a policeman stops her. "Ma'am, there are $20 bills falling out of that bag."
"Damn!," says the little old lady. "I'd better go back and see if I can still find some of them. Thanks for the warning!"
"Well, now," says the cop, "not so fast. How did you get all that money? Did you steal it?"
"Oh, no," says the little old lady. "You see, my back yard backs up onto the Lambeau Field parking lot. Every time there's a game, a lot of fans come and pee in the bushes, right into my flower beds! So, at game time, I go and stand behind the bushes with my big old hedge clippers. And each time someone sticks his little thingy through the bushes, I say: $20 or off it comes!"
"Hey, not a bad idea!" laughs the cop. "OK, OK! You're all right. Good luck!
By the way, what's in the other bag?"
"Well, officer," says the little old lady, "some guys think I'm bluffing."

Yeah, I’m going to do this! Gotta do it! Getting some last minute things now!
I found a link to your blog in Wendy’s comments. I like your button better (it doesn’t seem as dark as the one on Wendy’s 12/16 entry), so I’m just letting you know that I’m using it – if that’s okay. Thanks!
Yeah, I’m thinking of doing this one too. Gotta knit that stash down.
I’m going to do this as well. My rules will let me buy yarn from the shop ONLY if I have earned enough store credit from the Saturdays I work. And my 1 wildcard will be Maryland Sheep and Wool because I planned this year to hopefully make it up there next year with Pam. But yeah. I think it’s doable.
Sorry I haven’t been commenting lately. I’m still catching up. Last week I wasn’t feeling too commenty in the blogosphere. Ya know? *sniff* I still miss Morris so much!
Dude, I’m totally in… You and I know I’ve got yarn stash coming out of my ears!
Ok, does swapping yarn count as breaking the rules? Cause you know, that’s not exactly *buying* any yarn
hahahahah
Can I knit with your stash instead?
Yeah, I’m thinking of doing this one too.Although I’ve got a small stash, I am trying not to be a hoarder. Is it too late? Is there a limit?
