Last week, I finished my Coachella. It never really made it to my Project Bar list because it was such a quick knit. It took me all of 3 days. I wasn’t too pleased with the finished product as I felt the cowl was, um, … a little deep.
What I ended up doing was going home and stringing some thiiiin elastic around the entire neckline.
I like this effect MUCH better. Although, can you see that little whole there under my breast? That’s the bust short rows. Yeah. They’re near my stomach. LOL Sometimes row gauge IS important, folks! Mine was off by like 1 and there you see the result. I don’t really care. Only a knitter will know what that is, and possibly a fashion designer.
I plan to knit another one with some Rowan Felted Tweed in pink. Sturdier fabric in my swatch than the Berroco Twist I used for this one. I don’t think I’ll do the bust rows either to see what happens. Also, I want to make the strip across the back wider so that I don’t have to wear a sports bra under it. Have to figure out how to bring those armholes up, too.
All in all, this was a super easy pattern to knit and I really enjoyed it.
