As promised, here is my recipe for Coquito. You’ll want to make this often. It’s a very comforting drink. Ahem. ;o)
- 1 large 25.5 oz can of Coconut MILK
- 2 cans of Coconut CREAM
- 2 cans of Condensed Milk
- 3 or 4 cans of Evaporated Milk
- 2 tsp Vanilla extract
- 1 tbspn ground cinnamon
- 1 tbspn ground nutmeg
- 1 dash ground cloves
- 20 dashes of Angostura Bitters (get this at your local liquor store)
- 2 eggs (you can leave these out if you’d like)
- 1 lemon peel, grated
- 1.5 cups of white rum (I love to use Wray & Nephew, Jamaican rum. Even tho it’s a tad pricier it takes less of it to make it taste GOOOD!)
Get your biggest plastic mixing bowl and start pouring in ingredients and blending them in one at a time. After you’ve blended in all the ingredients, pour into glass bottles and chill – this makes about a gallon.
I love having a cup or 4 of this on ice on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights. And sometimes, Wednesday!

ROFLMFAO. Thanks for posting this! I almost wish I didn’t read the recipe. I wonder how many extra pounds I picked up drinking all that I drank at your house. It’s not gonna stop me from making it though! And, I too can have a cup or 4!

YES!! Finally someone willing to divulge the ingredients of this wonderful drink. But, eggs? that’s ok? I’m guessing the alcohol kills any salmonella? Right?
Thank YOu!!!
YUM!!! I’ll take mine right now. Thankyouvermuch
Thanks for the recipe. I finished that bottle I took from your house that same night .
Love the hungover cat pic. Too cute.
sounds interesting… except for the egg part… that just doesn’t sound right at all!
i’m not a big coconut, but its differnt for drinks. Holiday drink anyone?? anyone??
It’s like Egg Nog that doesn’t suck!
I have the feeling one glass of this and I’d be yelling “Coquito!” just because it’s fun to say sober!
That sounds so good! I’ll have to try it. It almost sounds like an egg nog/custard sort of drink with a tropical flair. Yum!
