Rhinebeck 2009

We had a blast!!  This year CERTAINLY made up for last year’s not-so-great time.  We got there early, we were mostly done shopping by noon, had a nice lunch with the girlies, went to the Ravelry meet-up, saw my peeps, hung out some more, had some tasty hot chocolate, then went home dead tired.

Here it is in pictures:

rhinebeck 2009 001

The fabulous Bonne Marie Burns from Chic Knits and I.  She’s such a sweetie.

rhinebeck stash 2009 017The yarn purchases (3 skeins of Socks that Rock, 1 skein of The Alpaca Yarn Co. Astral and 1 of Paca Peds HT sock yarn, and 1 skein of Sheldridge Farm Wool Cotton).

rhinebeck stash 2009 011I bought 2 packs of 100% llama fiber to use as thrums in some mittens along with the Shelridge Farm W/C.  The fiber is sooo soft and fluffy!

rhinebeck stash 2009 001The yearly hand-made basket purchase.

rhinebeck 2009 002And poor Jeanine!!  She bought a basket, too, but hers was messed up so she had to return it.  At that point, they didn’t have any more oval baskets left so she was left with none!  AWWWWW!!  Doesn’t she look sad??  HAHAHAHAH!

I just KNEW I’d run into you — and believe me, I was lost most of the time I was there — good god, the yarn, the food the sheepies!

But it was just the best to meet you and say hi! Give Jeanine a hug for me too :)

Sounds like you had a fab time and the opportunity to meet Bonnie M. Burns… reminds me I need to finish up my Aleita Shell.

Fabulous yarn! I feel bad for Jeanine, though… that’s the look of basket-less heartbreak if ever I saw it.

Hey I see you’re wearing your Clasica Coat. Came out great BTW! Don’t you just love wearing things that you made! I do!

A Woman's Prayer

Dear Lord, I pray for Wisdom, to understand a man, to love and to forgive him, and for Patience, for his moods.

Because, Lord, if I pray for Strength, I'll just beat him to death.
