A survivor!

We’ve started cleaning up the backyard somewhat.  (Well “we” = Tano and the kids!)  And among all of that crap, we found this:

nice plant

Isn’t it pretty?  I was told it’s a daffodil.  We’re definitely not pulling that out.

Thanks to all of you who sent me emails and left comments trying to help us out with the Forbidden Forest backyard!!  We really appreciate it and please keep them coming if you have more to add.

In the meantime, we decided to put pavers on part of the backyard ourselves.  That would be the part off of the little deck that’s there now.  See, we need somewhere to put the new patio furniture and grill I got Tano for Father’s Day!  It’s being delivered on Monday.

Yes, I know Father’s Day is in June.  Why do you ask?

  1. Ha! I was just about to ask, is there a new Father’s day I don’t know about? :) That flower is indeed a survivor. I would have suggested a replant in a different spot, but no, leave her there! She represents your new beginning.

  2. A man needs his grill.
You might be surprised by all the plants you have – take care in pulling things out till you go through a full season to see what you have.

  3. Hee hee, you knew that was a daffodil right?

Oh yeaaaah, grill season is almost upon us. I can’t wait!

  4. You are so brilliant. You buy your husband a grill as a gift so he can cook for you more often. I love the concept. lol

  5. You definitely need that grill before June. So the food can start coming as soon as it’s sunny and warm out. Whoever convinced people that grilling was a manly kind of activity was brilliant.

  6. Daffodils are lovely.

Let’s pray for lovely weather so you can use your grill and patio furniture.

We are having the sunshine but it is cold with it.
