I took it upon myself to get rid of the stress of everyday life and start knitting a new scarf. So I chose Brancing Out by Knitty which has been on my to-do list for a while now.
I bring my yarn and needles on the train with me to work. I realize that I have to wind the hank of lace yarn. I have never knitted with lace in the past. So I figured let me wind this real quick before I start before it gets tangled as I knit.
I was knitting standing up on the train as usual this morning with the bag between my legs, standing next to the door to go between the cars. This kid came flying thru the door next to me and went to exit the train WITH MY YARN CAUGHT ON HIS BACKPACK!!!! I was FROZEN and grabbed the yarn and was like” HEYYY!!!” This man grabbed the kid and these two ladies were trying to unhook the yarn from his backpack which took forever because he got FAR before i reacted!!! I was in shock seeing all that precious merino unravel! HAHAHA! The kid was shaking his arms around ‘cuz he probably thought they wanted to steal his backpack the way the man and the ladies had him in a grip! LOL
Anyway, they unhooked the yarn finally and brought it all back to me. What a way to start a Monday morning!! GEESH!
I finished an entire sweater this weekend. Made with Suri Dream in Strawberry from Knitpicks. I started it Thanksgiving morning as the roast pork was in the oven and finished it Sunday early afternoon. The pattern is To Dye For Sweater from the Stitch ‘n’ Bitch book.
